Villager: Claus

Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that Claus has his work cut out for him in the fields, because the villagers of Dragonsmaw are in no particular hurry to have him lurking about Town Hall. Sure, he's friendly, that's for certain. He is often welcoming to those who come and visit, as well as those he passes by. True, he has bouts of loneliness during which he flocks to the city like a homesick pigeon. But he's a wolf. It's instinct to stick to a pack, and he has managed to find his among Purnip's lot much to the relief of the general public.

The trouble is, he's just not okay. Some can sense it in his presence, despite the crocodile smile and the gleaming twinkle in his deep brown eyes. He lusts for something that few will discover, and those that do seldom live to tell. Oliver and Donovan keep a very close eye on him, and Purnip appears to have something of a distraction in line to keep the wolf under control. So far, it's been a long time since another villager has gone missing...but the plants are coming along ever so nicely now.

He fluctuates under a narrow variety of emotion, mostly drawn to anger, fear, depression, and joy. He certainly has trouble with empathy. He likes Oliver, even if the fox detests him. He loves finding little ways to pick on him. Donovan is not as fun, but he tolerates him just the same. Evette rarely talks to him and he rarely talks to her. He's very socially awkward, so he alternates between talking to every or anybody to only those close or himself. He might have been a full extrovert if he wasn't consumed by self consciousness so often.
