Villager: Masamune

Date Masamune, seventeenth head of the Date Clan. Date Masamune was born in Yonezawa Castle on September 5 as Bontenmaru and was the eldest son of Date Terumune. As a child, smallpox robbed him of sight in his right eye. When a senior member of the clan pointed out that an enemy could grab it in a fight he had his trusted retainer Katakura Kojuurou gouge out the eye for him. An outstanding tactician, he was made all the more iconic for his missing eye, and Date was often called dokuganryuu, or the one-eyed dragon

He now controls Oshuu in the north where he calls home. His trademark was a helmet with a crescent moon crest as well as his six sword style where he draws all six blades at once. Living well up to the name Dokuganryuu, Masamune exhibited traits not found in most humans such as growling, biting to draw blood, snarling and more. His instincts are what drive him. Upon closer inspection the lord’s canines are far larger and sharper then they should be as well as a slitted steel blue eye.

Upon the field of battle Masamune has been known to be rash and hot-headed. Rushing into battle without a moment of thought determined to make the country his and his alone. Able to conduct lightning within his body as well as conjure up lightning storms when furious. When no longer on the battle field this lord wonders around his land quietly. Caring for his people is something many outsiders find shocking since he has been known to be a cold hearted war lord that eats the flesh of his enemies.

To Masamune, his men and his people are the blood that flows and keeps his home alive. Carrying the weight of their lives upon his shoulders is what he must do. Suffering from depression does not help the lord at all but instead only makes things worst for him especially during the winters and nights.
