Sierra always dreamed of being a warrior for the sake of glory and the rush she gets while fighting, until she witnessed the loss of her brother at the hands of a monster. She then realized that being a warrior should not be for her own self fulfillment, rather for defending others.
Now, she is a dedicated warrior of Quetzal Palace. She takes her job very seriously for the sake of defending those who cannot defend themselves. She has her own apartment, but she's barely home due to defending her village and training her other warriors.
Occasionally brash and confident in her abilities. Very lively and would talk a lot. Sometimes very loud, squawking at inappropriate times. Protects her friends and will beat up anyone who hurts them. Very competitive, especially with other Quetzal Palace warriors who used to take her spot as top warrior. Leader of a team of 4 other warriors.

I always loved the avian species in Starbound. In fact, that it let you play as bird people, in combination with it being like Terraria--another game I love, was what convinced me to buy it. (I have the same temptation with Stellaris.) And I always played as the avian species and had trouble deciding which armor set I liked the most. Although I did also play with the space raptor mod that I can't remember the name of.

Yeah, it totally does look like Starbound armor. I remember the green armor for the avian species had something like that helmet there.
