No, no, it wasn't meant to make the link linkable but to link the words "Scottish Pirates" to the wiki article, which works by url tag & url + words to be linked + closing tags but maybe it didn't like that the wikipedia link included a colon and such. This isn't often a case for anything other than the prefix XD I dunno! I do it all the time but sometimes I accidentally have shift down when I do the brackets so it is a { instead of a [ and tbh the difference is very hard to see with certain fonts and fontsizes XD
