mellisa was a massive nerd. she still is, but she used to be too.

growing up as a computer user, mellisa became obsessed with the idea of using a combination of magic and technology to turn living beings into digital beings, therefore raising their life expectancy to near eternity. she experimented primarily on herself

she hecked up slightly

but she is both still alive (in some sense of the word) and still in a loving relationship with her gf maggie.

when she gets excited, she begins to look glitchier. this applies to all strong emotions, but happens most with joy. surprise her with a present and she might end up looking like missingno.

after the incident, mellisa began to have a more positive outlook on life. when asked why her experiments had not concluded the way she had expected, she responded "isn't it obvious? you can't turn something digital if it's already digital!". she has refused to elaborate on what she meant by this, but has been known to mumble the phrase "hell website" in her sleep.
