[Guardian is a species called Defaon, from a story I kinda work on along with the floofy bird. Both are closed species I guess?? Don't use them, thanks.]
Defaons are very hostile creatures, ruled by instinct. They live in the forest and protect the trees and wildlife that live there. At first glance, one would think these creatures would be peaceful; with their slow movements and purring. However, if you get too close to them, their entire attitude quickly changes. Their movement speed increases and they will charge at you, using their long arms and claws as weapons.
These creatures are not immortal, however, their glowing hair and boils make it hard for them to hide in the dark. Colors ranging from blue, yellow, green and everything in between. Their wooden mask is their life force, destroying it destroys them. If the mask is still intact they can take immense structural damage. Losing limbs is no problem for them, with time they can completely regen any part of their body.
Guardian is a lot different from their kin though. Their much smaller body, and not as sharp claws makes it hard for them to protect themself. Due to this, they don't try to pick fights with anything, instead they spend most of their time helping whoever they can, and even has learned how to speak a little bit. Their little Floof bird friend has taken a liking to them and will stick close by for protection.
