An ever-hungry spirit of the woods, lurking the outskirts of Dragonsmaw Manor, waiting for passing travelers to lure to their doom.

Its lantern is both hypnotic and one of the only sources of light in the dark abyss of the woods. Leading lost wanderers around in circles, deeper and deeper into the woods until they are exhausted, it isn't until they finally collapse that Rosetail finally strikes, leaving nothing left except maybe a ragged piece of cloth as the only trace of its victims existence. Then it moves on, looking for another hapless explorer or lost traveler to torment.

Sometimes, very rarely, it will lead the traveler to treasure. It is unknown why. Maybe once in a while it deigns a traveler worthy of not being dinner. Those that have survived encounters with the spirit give differing tales of their travels. Some say they felt like they where walking around the world, some say that they walked for days in the same place. All say the treasure they found was beyond measure, beyond words.

Those even rarer that have spoken to it beyond the usual chatter of "Follow me!" have noted it likes to be called Rosetail. Whether or not acknowledging its name increases the chances of not being eaten remains to be seen. Some say it was a normal furry, who got lost in the woods and was twisted by something evil to be forever hungry and searching, that Rosetail was its name before the change. Nobody knows.

But if you see a glowing pink light in the distance, don't follow it. Or do. Maybe you'll find treasure.
