About
Once the daughter of a noblewoman who had run off with a notorious pirate, she lived a life of luxury with her mother. Due to her fathers pirating, he was often away, though he visited when he could.
When she was sixteen, her mother fell Ill, and eventually passed. Unmarried and unable to keep the mansion she had called home for so long, she decided she would join her father on his ship when he visited again. However, when he came again to visit he was hesitant - a woman on a pirate ship was bad luck after all, but with the girls mother gone there didn't seem to be any other choice, and so he allowed it despite his crews protests, assuring them they would pick up more than enough lucky trinkets to combat any poor luck that might fall upon them.
However, later that very same night, the crew murdered the captain in his sleep - an act of mutiny - before putting a heavy iron belt around Elizabeths waist and throwing her into the sea, shouting taunts at her as she desperately reached for the surface before disappearing into the dark depths.
stories say that not even a week after, her fathers ship was found crashed upon a rocky shore, the only remaining signs of the crew nothing more than clothing scraps and bloodstained sand.
Whispers of Elizabeth's fate spread, and the misfortune of sailors foolish enough to throw a woman overboard became more feared than any other pirate superstition.
Eventually, stories spread of a horrible, terrifying half-human sea monster bound with an iron belt that would attack ships at random. Pirates especially would hush any mention of her on the open seas, afraid that it would summon her from the depths.
