Villager: Eira

Everyone knows of the two great bears of the North, Ursa Major and Minor. One winter the little bear strayed too far from it's mother as they crossed the sky. In its rush to catch up the end of its tail was snagged by Draco. The celestial dragon ripped Polaris from the small bear and sent it tumbling. Flying through space the star grew cold and splintered.

A shard of Polaris feel onto Tigereye Peak one night, having been refined into a large opalescent crystal. The impact shattered this jewel and young Eira lay curled inside. In the bright snowy night on the peak her silvery fur shone like the aurora above, and the shards of her cocoon like stars around her. Alone on the mountain, Eira rose from the wreckage of her descent and went looking for shelter.

She traveled up the mountain, eventually coming upon an ice cave. She went inside to get out of the wind, and found the cave widened into an enormous cavern further inside. The ceiling was high, with the ice on top being thin enough to see glimpses of the stars and moon outside. Eira felt comfortable, and decided to call it home. She named it Niquisel, which means frosted star in her ancestral tongue.
