Villager: Spruce

She puts her snout down to the freezing water, down down down reaching for something in the murky depths of it. She is huge, wolfish but bigger than anything you've seen before, muscle moving smoothly under dark fur, a low rumbling coming from her chest, angry and hurt.
She knows what you did.

And then her teeth clamp down on something and you feel your breath escaping you all at once, wheezing as your heart gets squeezed in a vice like grip, freezing. Your hands fly to your chest, your throat, clawing to get them working again, but nothing helps.
You just have the time to see her drag something clear and shining and human shaped out of the water, pulsing softly, softly. Recognition hits you like a sledgehammer, and you want to scream, no, no, but no sound comes out of your mouth. And then the world blinks out and goes dark as you crumble to the ground.
