Hi all, looks like we've gotten things all sorted out and we're ready to bring you part 2 of this spooky event!

Pumpkin Growing

The Pumpkin growing portion of the event is ready to go, your Herbalists (the ones on your account, not everyone's Herbalists site wide) will be working together to grow the biggest pumpkin that they can! On each Herbalist's work page you will see the special slot at the top that holds your most special pumpkin, you simply have to keep using Fertilizer to keep growing your very special, one of a kind Pumpkin child.

*Details on trophies and prizes for the Pumpkin Growing will be announced soon so be on the look out for a News Flash post regarding that in the near future*

New Recipes & Items

There are 2 new recipes now stocking in the Candy Shop, The Hallowed Potion Recipe and the Pumpkin Treats Recipe, check out the details below on the new items that they make!

First up we have the Hallowed Potion, this potion can be used at your Animal Handler's stables to upgrade the rarity of a Mini-Pet. Each potion will upgrade by one step, Common will upgrade to Uncommon or Rare will upgrade to Super Rare. To upgrade a Mini-Pet from Common all the way The up to Super Rare you will need 3 potions total for that Mini-Pet. The crafting price on this recipe is 500 FD, I am told that that price will be going up after the event ends, 500 FD is a special discounted Event exclusive price.

POTION IS CURRENTLY RENDERING SOME PETS STERILE, THIS IS A GLITCH THAT WE ARE WORKING TO RESOLVE.

Secondly we have the Pumpkin Treats, these treats can be fed to an undomesticated Mini-Pet to instantly bring them up to full domestication! So have fun baking these up for your Mini-Pets.

Pumpkin Treats DO NOT work yet but you can begin making them for use when the coding bugs have been worked out.

Thanks for sticking with me and as always, please to report any bugs if you run into them!

*Exact end dates for the Event and closure of the Candy Shop will be posted with the Pumpkin Growing trophy and prize details*

    • im slightly pissed off at the announcement. Another FD sink. All my serpents got bought over night before i was even able to read this update so now i cannot even benefit from this myself. A+ again.

    • I have mix feelings about the potion, one hand it's great. I can finish my mini pet collection! On the other hand Fd price is eh....mainly since I can't get FD that easily plus 500 is a discount price only. And I think it most defintly should work on unbreedeble mini pets, sterile mini pets was the wprst thing for them to introduce and basically made me give up on completing my collection to begin with. If the potion doesn't work on sterile pets then I'd like them be made breedeble again or there be an item that makes them breedeble again, sounds lije a fair trade off

    • Not sure how I feel about that potion. On the one hand, it's great for people looking to get the mini-pets. They can buy FDs from the site, make the potions, and be guaranteed to get what they want.

On the other hand, it's pretty terrible for the economy. It pretty much puts a set price on all rarity tiers, which drastically reduces the value of time put in breeding. It also changed what used to be a means of moving currency around between players. Any poor player with dedication could breed a super rare and sell it to someone who buys FDs and is looking to skip the time-intensive breeding process. Now that transfer has been turned into a FD sink instead of a transfer, because the rich player can make potions and raise their pets themselves. They don't need to buy from a player. And that poor player now has their time devalued, because they can't sell for more than the potion is worth. This coupled with the fact that furvilla frequently makes event minipets really hard to get makes it feel like a purposeful cash grab at worst, and a poor economic situation at best.

    • i actually think the 500 FD cost for these potions is a brilliant idea. it does such alchemists won't 100% their achievements, but the menagerie was IMPOSSIBLE to complete otherwise, and at least now it's a little more doable? also it helps benefit the site, so win win in my book.

    • Yeah... FD being used for a potion seems really unfair... looks like I’ll never use that then. Sucks because I was looking forward to using them.

    • ...i misunderstood, and gave my alchemist the potion. UGH. I'm not going to pay five dollars to make my alchemist get the achievement. bye bye alchemist dreams.

    • Really unfortunate that the choice was made to implement a cash-grab that will tank the AH economy, driving users away... Really glad that I never invested in AH myself!! The pumpkin treats are pretty cool, though. Looking forward to the details on the prizes for the pumpkin growing contest!

    • Okay well, I am someone who is usually not this much against things into game, but now, events which in the first place should be FUN on a KIDS game would now require real money to enjoy? Sorry, but this repulsing in every ways. This is a game for kids, come on. This is the first time ever that I am meeting this in a game and in my opinion, this just not right. This potion doesn't have its place into the event, this should be a FD item belonging to the FDE, not an event item.
I am trying very hard to appreciate this game since the beginning of it, but instead, so many things make me feel like I am receiving lemon juice right in the face... \":

    • eek

    • Err.. FD-to-craft recipes, now? I'm just glad my Alchemist got all of her achievements already, and I feel bad for everyone who is still working towards that goal. I never minded paying real monies into the FDE to support the site and get cool bonus items, but as a crafting fee..? Why not just put the Hallowed Potion in the FDE? Seems wrong, especially since this is an event-- we couldn't use candy points somehow, at least for the duration of the event? Have fun, everybody. I've got other games to play.
