New Species and Rules Revamp

Good evening villagers, we are happy to announce that Olde Foxbury now has its own rare species, the Saggitari! This taurian species fits in perfectly with the atmosphere of Olde Foxbury, and comes in three initial colors: Giraffe, Quagga, and Okapi.
Second, our staff has gotten together to discuss and completely revamp the Rules pages. We have condensed the three rules pages (Code of Conduct, Forum, and Chat) into one single rules page, which is linked from the Terms of Service. As the game has been open for three weeks, we have gotten an idea of what rules are necessary to keep it functioning smoothly, and have made adjustments accordingly.
Following our rules update, we will be closing our forums for approximately twenty-four hours for clean-up (but we will likely re-open them sooner). One issue we have been tackling is the sheer amount of spam that has hit our forums, and as soon as the clean-up of spam is complete we will re-open the forums for everyone to enjoy. The chatrooms will remain open if you would like to contact other players, and our moderators will be diligently watching the channels.

Okay, I'm going to go straight to the one rule that really bothers me: "No discussions about staff actions". While I agree that discussing staff actions against specific users should be avoided (because you don't want people bashing or attacking specific people who've had actions taken against them), these kind of rules can quickly dissolve into police-state "do not contest the staff ever" kind of feelings. See Flight Rising. I think it's important to be able to publicly discuss the rules, rulings, and actions of staff without fear of repercussion.
For example, the way this rule is currently worded, it can also cover discussing why a specific paintie has been turned down. But people need to talk about that, because they want to figure out how to make their painties okay, ya dig?
(I would also like to contest the "religion and politics" rule as it feels very arbitrary and unnecessary. Instead, having a sub-forum for these kinds of topics would be a lot more appropriate, imo. Or well, generally, a fragmentation of the forums into "light" and "serious" discussions.)
(Aaand since there's a "no spam" rule called "open meaningful threads" which is also super vague, I'm gonna ask for a "fun and games" subforum too, for, well, forum games. But… generally, these rules feel like they're strongly in reaction to how chaotic the forums were, and I think instead of trying to constrain the allowed forum content more, fragmenting the forums better seems like the smarter approach?)
And " The only things you can sell for real money are Painties you own." does this mean no RLC commissions? Can I not sell art I drew for USD unless it's a paintie? A lot of sites prefer to go by "you must have an option to buy for site currency ALSO if you decide to sell for real life currency." I like this better, personally.
Avatar and Sig size should be constrained by the coding of the site, that'll save your moderators the headache of having to remove too-big signatures.
And yes, I will file a contact us about these points too (and try to word them a bit better), but I figured I'd put them in a comment in case someone wants to add their two cents c:

Read the update rules so I'm up to date. Just wanted to comment and say I'm incredibly appreciative for the revisions/clarifications and especially the little summary sentences to the side. Makes it way easy to maneuver and is much easier to understand. Hope it keeps things a little more under control! ^^
So awesome!! :D I was wondering if staff of furvilla can possibly work a little one the bases for all the painties we can make.. it shows its still on maintenance, but it would be nice so that we can have the bases of the species that are there so far :)
Uhg, i mean, im glad youre condensing the rules page, but the header picture made me think you were overhauling your rules. Which tbh i was kinda hoping for. On the other hand- Centaurs! :D im gonna have 8
"Bumping your own threads (posting in them to make them appear at the top of the thread list) is allowed at most once a day for each topic. Forcibly keeping threads on the front page will annoy users that aren’t interested."
I think you guys should consider letting people bump more than once a day in the sales area though. (As it does get lost and most people don't check beyond the first page) Just make the rule so you can't bump more than every hour or something.
