There was a book where the main character was gay and his name was Kane. And he got into a car accident at the beginning, but that wasn't the focus of the book. He had a friend named Ursula, and a sister named Sophia. And near the end of the book he had a bf named Dean. and he and ursula had to fight some omnipotent drag queen named poppy. Kane had rainbow powers?

There was a book series i read where the main character was named Eve.. But that wasnt her real name. And she was raised by dragons. Her sister was named Malora but that was actually Eve's name? Anyways, there was a boy princess named Basil. Who had a bunch of brothers. And one sister who died.

I like the insect villagers. They are cute.
