Crocs probably won't have costumes any time soon. I read somewhere that they won't make additional costumes for species other than the main six due to the strain it'd put on artists to keep up with them. Or something. Which is an utter shame and hopefully this point will be reconsidered.
Same, same. I wasn't intending for my future mythical fox to be an animal tamer but I just might change my mind on that, because hopefully those extra % help with this... coin-toss profession XD
Yeah, you don't need to use any items for them to breed. Just a free space and an idle tamer. It's a matter of seconds. The baby's domestication level is the average of the parents (so at 10/10 you get a fully domesticated baby). Different pets have different cooldowns which in a sense indicates their rarity (aside from the rarity tags used on their colours as well). Males can always stud, females have cooldowns from 5 to 15 days (possibly also 20s but I haven't found one of those myself). Which is why females are generally more expensive because everyone just needs one male to keep breeding.
Breeding potion is actually super mis-named, because it's actually a GENDERCHANGE potion, haha. The different coloured animals can be found or bred rarely, though odds are not in anyone's favour (exact breeding odds are in the FAQ section and plain ridiculous if you ask me).
For the time being I figure that everything could be expanded on and just currently isn't because it's still beta. We are the testers after all, and it's ever so easy to conceptualize something in your head, but seeing it up and running and actually working is something else. They listened a great deal to us so far so hopefully it'll keep going. Warrior loot tweaking and Animal Husbandry improvements are my main concerns right now XD
Also the miniHP potion is kinda useless. Recipe costs more than HP potion and it almost uses up the same amount of ingredients XD But yeah it seems kinda odd that a recipe like that would be restricted to one village. I'm guessing it was intentional to engage more commerce and trading, But, for example, I can't think of anyone who'll ever use MiracleGro, and why brew a Cat Potion for turning a critter into a random cat when you can just create one from scratch in the colour you want. (Only one I considered using is the fox potion on my existing fox, since the bat-eared colour which I adore came out shortly after I made him.)
Every village has 3 costumes, but yes, it bugged me that two villages come without species potions. Each village has their own type of interesting potion but 2 more species would have been cool. Especially since all of them only come in 3 colours each XD
