I agree on you about the DAD argument, I don't think being a creator of the species gives you special rights to ignore rules that you've set for the species. Their powers does seem too OP, and I'm not one to enjoy Mary Sue's :s Then again, the furry community seems to warship Telephone a lot, so at least in FV there arn't any rules about following their lore/rules/patterns/etc.
