gaia is a gentle saltie with massive power. she is kind and motherly to all critters and will often adopt wandering villagers whom she feels are too young to be on their own. the flora on her back will grow again if removed, so she will allow hungry herbivores to feast if need be.

being a mother to all, she is also a stern protector. her family and village can always rest assured that she will give her last breath to protect them. she specializes in earth magic, raising the soil and commanding the vines to do her bidding. she has been responsible for a number of small earthquakes. however, she can only use her magic by day - by night, her powers are gone until the sun returns. when in control of battle, she will choose only to fight during the daytime. however, if an enemy attacks in the night and she has no other option, she will use her teeth and claws to chase them off. her win ratio at nighttime is significantly poorer than during the daytime.
