The binosat is a successful failure; scientists, in 1933, attempted to create dinosaur clones. At the time, the scientific community didn't know that dinosaurs were the great(x10mil)grandfathers of modern day birds, so they attempted this with bats.
Some of these bats died, but a few grew up into a strange, unknown creature- they had no prominent wings past infancy, yet the large ears of a bat; they had long, soft fur all over their body, aside from their long tails, which were covered in very short fur, and they were huge at times-- standing anywhere from 5 feet, up to eight feet tall, sometimes more!
After the initial binosats- GEN0- were created, the scientists created the first official generation- GEN1- in 1935 to be dispersed among the masses. There were about 5,000 of them, and these gave birth to GEN2, which then gave birth to the newest generation of today, GEN-K.
This artificial creation causes them to be stereotyped as "fake" and "unnatural", as well as being accused of spying for the government. This is not true.
Binosats can be any color, although they are normally either pastel or saturated colors. They can also have just about any patterns on them- anywhere from stripes, to polka-dots, to hearts and stars- the world is biology's oyster. Their ears, paws, and noses can be an assortment of three shapes; Heart, Star, and Puppy, and these can be mixed and matched.
Despite their strange history, appearance, and biology, the binosat is usually a friendly and sociable creature, and their heart holds no hate.
