About

穀鼩 Guchi, a kind of bug eating rodents like creature (they are a kind of shrews actually), resides in rice fields eating the bugs on the rice stalks, therefore is considered as a rice guardian by the farmers.

The females are generally larger, with rice stalk-like tails and patterns. Males are, however, plain.
子穰 (Zi Rang) is one of the best hunters in the 穀鼩(Guchi) species, so local farmers named and worship them. The shawl they are wearing was gifted by appreciative humans. They very treasure it.

【Facts】

穀鼩(Guchi) are a part of shrew species, they are not rodents.
They do not have long incisors that grow throughout life, instead they have sharp peg-like sets of teeth as all kinds of nature predators do.
Front legs have 4 claws each, hind legs have 5.
White eye pupils, poor eyesight.

穀鼩，食蟲目鼠型動物
棲息在稻田裡並以稻穀上的蟲維生，因此被農民稱稻田的守護神。
母鼠通常體型較大，有稻穀般的尾巴和斑紋，公鼠則無。
子穰是穀鼠家族中數一數二的捕獵高手，因此特別被當地農命名並供奉，
身上的披肩是人送給他的，他十分愛惜。
