Edge is infected with Lycanthropy. Changes into a beastly monster after exposure to moonlight or especially frustrating board games. Howling at the moon relieves the symptoms for a little while, but use a Golden Apple for best results.

About

"So much there was to lose
So much got lost

He/Him, Young Adult
Formerly known as Edgar

He's a husk of what he once was, his body creaking and swaying with each movement. All that's left of his original name is the weathered hospital wristband he wears- the letters faded to what now looks like the word "Edge"

He doesn't seem to have the ability to speak anymore, communicating through sign language and a combination of groans, grunts, shrieks, etc

    • Styx laughed as he walked past the threshold of the trees, admiring their slightly glowing purple foliage, but ignoring the single spirit who could pass said ring of trees. A jet black fox, a white crescent moon marking on his forehead and sharp golden eyes trained on them both, his gaze was friendly surprising. Unlike the other residents he had no signs of wounds. Styx spoke as he moved to unlock the door on the home, sorting through his key ring. "Dont mind Asmus. He won't bother you."

(Asmus will hopefully come to my village eventually if i ever get around to drawing a Reference for him xD)

    • Styx nodded and turned towards said home, releasing Edge's hand. He smiled at edge, actually rather pleased he didn't have much of a reaction to this place. Styx didn't particularly like when people feared or insulted this place. "Yes, yes. It is. Would you like to come inside? I have a trinket i need to add to my collection as it is."

    • Styx nodded and moved to remove the cover from the mirror, offering a hand to Edge while the other rested on the mirror's reflective surface. "Shall we?" The mirror would change to a misty red, allowing the duo to pass through easily to the other realm. Said realm was a very large village with makeshift huts and homes in different styles of different time periods. The ground was rusty red, the sky dark and also reddish in color. There were a few villagers out and about, also seeming to be from different periods of time, they all had one thing in common however. Each seemed to sport evidence of grievous injuries, some more blatant than others of the wounds being the reason of their demise.

It seemed a ring of purple wistera trees were planted in the distance, surrounding a well kept cabin. None of the spirits living here passed their barrier, it was likely they couldn't.

      (Apologies for the long post!)

    • Styx laughed softly. "My dear friend, the realm in which they reside they look exactly like they did in their last moments. You look rather....handsome and tame compared to most. I won't go into too much detail, but some are rather....ghastly." He stopped playing with his knife, now watching edge. "Would you still like to accompany me?"

    • Styx perked up. "Ah, yes as for that, some of them are hostile to those who accompany me to the village. They don't like anyone new." He chuckled and started to play with his knife. "It isn't like they could actually harm you if you were to tag along with me sometime though."

    • Styx looked to the mirror then back to edge, chuckling quiety. "If you consider being unable to be harmed farther safe, yes. The village is full of spirits." He rest his hand on his own cheek, watching Edge. "As....'different'...as they look they aren't in any pain."

    • Styx hummed, setting his cup on a table next to hia chair. "Ah...yes i tend to spend quite a deal of my time there actually. I help new....villagers move in from time to time." He looked towards the covered mirror thoughtfully. "I don't take you as someone to easily be put off by the odd or unknown, hm?"

      (It's all good!)

    • Styx chuckles softly as he pours the drink and offered edge a filled cup. "Is that so? Well you wouldn't be wrong, though its more like another world than a closet." He sat down in another armchair across from Edge, humming lightly. "Just as well i do have a spirit who doesn't seem to want to leave me be in general." As if on cue a small yellow orb manifested itself right above styx's head before seeming to bolt into the mirror. Styx seemed amused. "He gets rather shy on the rare occasions i entertain guests."

    • Styx gestured politely to a small armchair near the mirror. "Why don't we have a seat and chat over something nice to drink for a bit? I'm no strangers to ghosts or spirits myself. I happen to have one who won't leave me alone." He rummaged through his kitchen a moment. "I seem to have run out of tea, but would this do?"

    • Styx was amused, humming lightly as he moved to set the vase with the flowers in an optimal location. He now looked to Edge curiously. "So the presence spirits doesn't bother you? Ah, manners, would you like to sit? Something to eat or drink?"
