Nove ignored the fact that she had slightly growled. The conversation was going pretty good, first time someone really didn't insult him. "Oh look at that, we've got something in common. Though it's actually part of my programming to do so. I don't necessarily do it on purpose...most of the time..."

"{b]Oh..Pardon me, you were being genuine? Huh, that's a first. Lot's of people who've met me usually insult me so I took it as one.[/b]" He said a bit embarrassed, though it was hard to tell. "Well, you're not as unsettling as the last time I met you, I'll give you that.[/b]"

Nove raised an eyebrow. "Hah, funny, man, are your jokes as bad as you? It would explain a lot...my god, you're unsettling."

"Heh...yea, has been a while hasn't it?? Also, mind you, my circuits have nothin' to do with you ya bloody wretch."

Moon laughed at that. "nah, just moon thanks."

"Oi! My name is moon, not moony!" He crosses his arms and somewhat pouts.

Are you asking if they can eat souls?
Some have the ability to do so but it's the most taboo thing because -
If they were to eat someones soul, that's erasing that individuals reincarnation cycle.
Such a thing get's the highest punishment - the criminals own soul being destroyed, and then being put to death.
This goes for eating the souls of both demons and non-demons.

While certainly demons do sometimes do vile things to non-demons (ie - transforming them) - there's usually a reason for doing so.
Any demon that does random acts of violence or such however - that's just that particular individual being awful, rather than a race/species wide thing.

In the lore of the universe where this character comes from -

Demons are just a group of sapient beings (there's a variety of different species of them and they have their own species names, but generally are just called simply "demon" as a catch all term.) “Transformed demons” are considered like, a sub-group/sub-species.
The live in a place called Narakunosoko (basically akin to Hell but not quite)

There's like ... a lot of lore, information that separates them from the other sapient beings of this world, that would be too long to go into but the main difference is -
They can sacrifice their soul and gain the ability to transform into a powerful beast at will.
Reincarnation is just … a thing in this universe. Because they sacrifice their soul, they then will be barred from ever being reincarnated when they die.
Such an immense power requires an immense sacrifice.
Only demons can access this power and that’s a big thing that separates them from non-demons - and part of why they’re feared.

Anyway, hopefully that made sense, my English can be dodgy sometimes. Sorry if that was overly long haha.
