Nico's entire face lit up as it was hugged by the protogen and nearly froze in place, feeling a new sense of excitement and happiness. It made mechanical whirring noise that nearly resembled a cat's purr as it hugged the other tightly (but not suffocating it!) and booped the nose of it's visor against theirs.

Nico takes the other protogens paw without hesitation, shaking it's hand quickly while making happy, pixely beeping noises. The smile on Nico's visor seems to glow with excitement. "Frieend?"

Nico takes the leaf into it's paws and reads the question, before putting the whole leaf into it's mouth. It keeps it there for a few moments before mechanical whirring begins, and the leaf is slowly pushed out if it's mouth. On the backside of the leaf, "Nico" is printed in neat letters.

Nico jumps with a loud squeak and turns around, startled. Upon seeing the slightly smaller (and cute) protogen, untenses and waves excitedly with a happy trill.
