The father of all monsters, the thing beneath our little town of Deerfield, is responsible for creating a demonic god known as The Eidolon. A test run for the entire race of monsters known as jailers, Eidolon was different not just in his golden bones but also in his ability. He could see into the future, and the prophecies he squired would give birth to some of the first religions this world has ever seen, one of which is still alive to this day. Eidolon's most popular prophecies are the ones relating to the end of this dinky little world.
It was said that a new demonic god would be created from the allfather accidentally, and after that Eidolon himself would be destroyed in an effort to create a second. The creation of this second serpentine demon would spell disaster for the planet; as this god is the god of destruction, natural disaster, and endings. With a mist that would allow the being to alter anything on the planet to its liking, it could decimate entire continents in one fell swoop. This prophecy rang true centuries later, and The Eidolon was no more- killed by the very mortals it cultivated the beliefs of for millennia.
An adorable and very small little cat (only four feet tall!), Xanthos is not at all what you'd expect upon being told he is the god of destruction and natural disasters- especially since he ended up NOT causing the end of the planet. He chooses to take the form of a cute cat as to not unsettle and frighten others, as he is a cosmic horror and can't be comprehended in actuality. Beneath the timid, excitable, and childishly innocent exterior is more what one would expect of him- an underlying desire to destroy.
Extensive invasive brain surgeries carried out by the people who made him and the sudden death of his adoptive mother has left Xan a little odd in the head, he's especially clingy as well. He doesn't have a natural sense of empathy for others, which is only made worse by the fact he is worshipped as the MAIN god of this world due to him being the son of Eidolon and the allfather. The treatment he receives does go to his head a little bit, and he is known to be selfish. However, he doesn't want to be the mindless beast of destruction that the people who made him wanted- him not being what those people wanted is a case of spite. Despite this, Xan still feels disconnected from others due to his inherent god complex and inhuman nature- he finds he relates more to the mindless allfather that made him than any other person.
Yet again, Xan throws people for loops with his hobbies as well. Things he enjoys are SFX makeup, chess, and checkers- all three he's really good at it. In fact, he's actually going to the same beauty school as Ampere. He also loves any game in the soulsborne genre, with Elden Ring being his current favorite. Equally, he's obsessed with rocks of all kinds and is a geology wiz. He's basically a little nerd. He's currently dating a witch by the name of Queenie, basically being her little familiar cat. The first demon god created before him, Valero, is his twin sister.
