She/hers | 3'9"
Cute, small and ready to maul
At a glance, Cafeyeen is the kind of furry that others can't help but stare at; She's the perfect mix of macabre and adorable, Her glow-in-the-dark skull head the first to be noticed and her personality quickly commanding attention afterwards. Cafeyeen is a lot older than she seems. She looks and sounds to be around fourteen or fifteen, when she's supposedly in her 20s... from what people know of her, at least. She has a face, despite more often not wearing it, and it looks like a normal mask when it's not on her. However, it changes when she puts it on; it seals around her head and becomes a perfectly normal and functional face, sans eyeballs and tongue, which she makes with bright blue magic for emotive purposes with or without her face. Her name seems to relate to an unusual feature of her tongue; It secretes a thick, slightly bluish fluid that has enough caffeine content to make a coffee addict's heart flutter. It's said that that's why she never sleeps.
It is rumored that there's another like her; some have seen a male cheetah with a white skull for a head and eyes oddly similar to her own in a neighboring town. Perhaps it's coincidence, as they have never been truly witnessed together, although there is a rumor that they meet at a cemetery between the two towns on some nights... but that's obviously just some rumor, right?
Nature
Cafeyeen is incredibly social. She likes being around people and will talk to anyone without fear or hesitation. She likes people, and she likes to party; she doesn't need to sleep, and she has enough energy to power a small village. She's rarely not running around doing something weird and ridiculous. Despite how she presents herself, however, it's not uncommon to notice a few... odd things about her behavior. She has a stare that can pierce a brick wall, and her movements can become uncanny and jerky whes she's on edge. She can walk in total silence, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, she has an inexplicable habit of screaming. Her voice isn't made by her lungs, so she can scream for as long as she wants, and the ungodly shrieking can be caused by a startle, being angered or, most commonly, absolutely no reason.
Despite her peppy appearance, however, Cafeyeen has a somewhat skewed moral compass if even that. Her body isn't the only part of her that is partially dead; She is a combination of living hyena and angry spirit, and as such, she abides by the rules of an angry spirit when her wrath is invoked. She is typically swift to deliver punishment to those who anger her, be it a frightening slow "haunting" or a quick snap to remove a few fingers or hand with her teeth... however, one should generally avoid angering her, as her supernatural state gives her unusual speed and strength, and she has no qualms against killing anyone who threatens her. In fact, when someone has been marked for death, she will stop at nothing to get her jaws around their neck... And it's very hard to run from something that doesn't need to sleep.
Past
Cafeyeen - or Chamomile, as was her given name - used to be part of a small traveling circus. She ran away from home at ten years of age to join the father and son cheetah duo Giovanni and Gio Magico to learn how to use magic, which Giovanni was more than skilled at. However, after traveling for months and learning all that he had to teach, she eventually planned to return home. Gio - having lived in a wagon all ten years of his life that never stayed anywhere for more than one day - wanted to come with her, as she was his only friend. Giovanni refused to let them leave, but he didn't outright forbid them, or even tell them that he knew of their plans; instead, he used his magic to turn their faces into masks and keep them where the cubs couldn't get them, so they had no choice but to stay. However, they still planned to escape. On the night of a performance in Chamomile's own hometown, they interrupted their show to give a true display of what they were capable of; Despite being much younger, Chamomile and Gio had gained incredible magic power, and were able to defeat Giovanni and regain possession of their faces. Giovanni was arrested for kidnapping and Gio and Chamomile returned to Chamomile's home, where they lived a relatively normal life.
However, Being not only a true magician but a street magician as well, Giovanni escaped from prison after a good few years. He quickly came to regret this decision, however, as Chamomile and Gio were no longer the same cubs he had taught and sought to control; When he took their faces, he had turned them into creatures both alive and dead, living flesh and blood around angry spirits thirsty for revenge. This is not a metaphor. Giovanni did not survive the night of his escape, as the two quickly learned of his escape and went to exact their long-awaited revenge... Although nobody in their small town knew what had happened, they did find it a bit odd that Chamomile and Gio gave up their signature magic colors, pink and green respectively, and proudly wore the vivid blue of Giovanni's magic in their eyes after his disappearance.
