Hi again everyone!

Just catching everyone up on the goings-on behind the scenes.

First off, we're working on a solution for pumpkin guts. It should leave most people with roughly the same amount of pumpkin guts - the values will be generated from your herbalist logs, and then adjusted based on your purchase/sale logs.

This process won't be perfect, and we'll have a thread open for case-by-case solutions when we're at that stage. Please note that this is just the current plan, and we may need to consider other options - we'll keep players informed of any changes, however.

Unfortunately, the 2017 Jack-O-Lanterns cannot be restored this way, and is a lower priority over all. However, if you've lost a significant number of the collectible version of the Jack-O-Lantern, we can look at restoring them manually. Please PM me directly to do so.

We're looking to add a consume all candy button as a temporary solution to overloaded inventories.
Due to feedback, you'll instead be able to donate all your food items in your inventory to the food drive in a single click. This is currently on the top of the coding list.

The Pumpkin growing competition's conclusion has been delayed, with the new target date being the 21st of November. Please note that the Hat / Pies may not have their functionality ready by this date, but will still be awarded at this stage.

The Dragon's Maw Festival will officially conclude on this date as well, with the following occurring:
- There will be a second purge of pumpkin-related items (excluding Pumpkin Guts and 2017 Jack-O-Lantern collectibles).
- The Candy Shop will be closed; left over points will be lost.
- Per above, the competition rewards will be distributed.
- We will all be free!

This is unfortunate but not unexpected; custom items will be delayed until after the above issues are resolved. Details on this will be revealed next week.

Following Dragon's Maw event's closure, there will be no new major events for a time while we work on other on-site issues. However, the existing events will appear at their scheduled intervals (such as the snow festival), with some balance and mechanic tweaks.

Explorer & Warrior events will still appear regularly.

Unfortunately, in perhaps the saddest news of all, our soup overlords are moving on to new lands.

You'll have a week to purchase Soup Vistas and Stickers from the recycle shop before they retire (don't worry - they're retiring to a life of luxury).

We've been having a lot of issues with bugs lately, and consequently we've had a lot of bug reports. We've had a flurry of reports on the same issues, and this makes it difficult to isolate reports on unique issues so we can target and resolve them, especially if we can do so without additional coding.

Before you submit a bug report, please check out this thread.

If you have a pressing technical issue that has yet to be resolved and isn't on the above list, please PM me directly.

If you have a community related issue that remains unresolved, please contact Admin-Mat .

A certain.. friendly NPC is going to help out with item upgrades in the mean time, for a modest price. Keep an eye out for their post if you're looking to increase the potency on some of your items (or add new sockets).

This little devil is going to get a hard-counter item. Keep an eye out for that too!

The new "Warehouse" exploration event had an issue where it was incorrectly generating items that it shouldn't of been. I'll be looking to take it down briefly tomorrow to update the list of items it can generate to specific ones instead of generic "Reagents".

That's all for now!

    • And so we may never know what the fate of the Pumpkin Treats will be

    • Awesome, thank you for the update! Is there an ETA for the Haunted Couture winner selection?

    • Thirding the discard all suggestion, if it's at all possible to implement.

Aaaaah, I see. I had no clue that those were the plans. That's cool, since I still had 10-15k pumpkin guts leftover. I'd definitely grow more pumpkins if I knew that would be the case too x3
It's awesome to hear tho :3

    • !AdminWisteria @AdminMat My only query is that I understood the pumpkin growing contest was already over. My pumpkin has a final weight. My seeds were taken with the prior purge. Why the delay? If I switch my herbalist to an explore, my concern is that when the badges are finally given out, if my herbalists is in 'explorer mode' I'll lose out. As such, my herbalist has been wasting away for the past few days doing nothing. Can you please advise what would happen in such an event? Would a badge still be given?

    • Seconding Lucky law's discard all function, or allowing people to pick the amount discarded so people can bring down their inventory numbers to a more manageable amount. Also imo just people people convert their candies to CP if they wanted to.. No more is being generated anyway so I don't see why that was disabled..

    • The feed all candy button makes me imagine me laying on my back with my mouth open while someone with a wheelbarrow full of candy rolls up! ... Brb *goes to fill a wheelbarrow with candy*

Thanks for everything tho and sorry all the buggyboos are biting you admins! I actually had a lot of fun with this festival and got to meet a lot of other players due to exchanging candies and pumpkins.

    • Growlithe Crunchypuff @ Luckyclaw

It wasn't my intention to punish players who may have feed their villagers manually, but at this stage I just want the candy gone; if it were up to me, players wouldn't have been put in that position in the first place, and it's not fair to have players stuck with 10k+ candies and a limited amount of play time with no practical way of clearing it out of their inventory short of spending hours feeding it to a villager.

I can look at some form of compensation (perhaps in the form of more food so you're still advantaged in the feast), but realistically I need some level of compromise here - I really, really want this event to be behind us.

      @AverageFurryFan ArbyDaFawx1

The guts were meant to hang around as a sort of investment - you can craft fertiliser and hallowed potions year-round, provided you had leftovers, but pumpkins were meant to be removed so it was a limited resource and therefore a potential investment / reward for players who harvested a lot during the event.

    • Glad to hear the pumpkin gut dilemma is being resolved! Also glad to hear that there's gonna be less major events as you guys focus on site issues. That's more important.

PLEASE reconsider the candy thing, though. PLEASE don't allow it to be fed to one villager like that with no effort, it's gonna crash the feast and it's not fair to everyone who's been manually clicking or already cleaned out all their candy. It's much better to make a "Discard all Candy" button of some sort instead.
