Hello all, just a couple quick things to discuss so I hope that you can bear with me here for just a few minutes. And I know that I am putting the funnest bit of news first but please be sure to read all the way through, it’s worth it, I promise.

Cooking Career?

We are in the early stages of development with a potential new Villager career path, cooking! But before we continue the long journey that is creating a brand new career, we’d like to hear what you think. While there seems to be quite a bit of interest coming through the Suggestion box, we are aware that that is still only representative of a few individual opinions. So I have created a thread for polite discussion with staff and other users where you can come and share your thoughts and even ask questions about this potential new job for your Villagers. I know all of us on Staff are looking forward to seeing what you have to say.

Feedback Thread
**Don't forget to check the first post periodically for updates!**

Paintie Emails

We’ve seen concern raised about Paintie Emails ([email protected]) not being answered, sitting for a long time, ect. So we are going to see what we can do to fix the situation and make sure you all are getting everything you need from myself and the Paintie Staff but to do this we’re going to need your help.

To start off, please be sure to have a clear subject line for your Contact Us form or Email, it helps to more quickly sort out what is what. Below is a list of the most common types of Emails we receive and are examples of subject lines we’d love to see you all using.

-Paintie Rejection Inquiry
-Existing Paintie Fix
-Wiped Paintie Replacement or Refund
-Paintie Base/Sketch Check
-Other Paintie Issue

Email/Contact Us Form:

Username & Number:
Villager ID Number:
Rejection Notice Received or Reason for Wipe: (if applicable)

Requiring some of this information may seem redundant but we want to make sure no one accidentally falls through the cracks and that we have all needed information available to get you a response as quickly as possible.

*If you have sent in a form or email and not gotten a response after a week, please resend and PM myself Admin_Mateusz to check and make sure that your email has actually gotten to our inbox. Unfortunately we have had some glitching here and there with lost emails and lost responses.*

Suggestions & New Features

For anyone that might not be aware, we added the Idea Development section into the forums a little over a month ago. And we are glad to see so many people using this feature to discuss and gather their thoughts into full fledged little idea bundles that are ready to be sent along to our Suggestions email!

But I have seen that some of you are concerned about your emails not being read and only receiving an automatic response so I am here to address that for you. I know that for some, that auto response can be a bit discouraging but please know that all of your emails are being seen and read, by me personally. None of you are invisible and your suggestions are appreciated, I have a whole list of things set aside to discuss with my fellow Staff members all thanks to you busy little beta bees. I hope that you all enjoy the little tweaks that we’ve approved that will be coming your way soon.

    • Cooking is good! I felt like a food aspect was missing. It would be nice to grow food crops. Herbalist and Farmer sound like two different jobs almost.... I think it meaning the same thing can work though.
Feeling a guilt for missing days and starving my villagers would be deterring, but at the same time I want to feed them somehow.... Maybe certain actions could effect hunger? I didn't read the thread, I'm not too picky I'm sure I'll like what others have planned.
Oh and a request if there is food crops, I like realistic ones like potatoes and strawberries.

      The farm girl has spoken

Hunger won't be an added element, the first post from the thread explains:
"We are looking at this career as a way to add just a cute new element to play as well as a monthly eating contest for users to compete in for top scores and prizes. There will be no added hunger element to the game, no detriment to those that don't want to cook and feed Villagers."
      So, no need to worry!

    • I am very hesitant about a cooking career. if it makes it mandatory to feed villagers, i'm probably just going to quit furvilla.
To explain why i have such a strong dislike of such a system is because it actively punishes the player if they missed a day or two. And was one of the bigger reason i quit flight rising, having to feed my dragons even if i was gone for a week, made me feel as if i was not only unwelcomed because i couldn't feed my dragons, but it made me feel as if i was being punished for having real life issues at the time, and made me feel horrible, so i quit.
I like, NIgirisU 's Idea where it would work best as a booster. To give a few ideas, say you fed you construction worker a powerful stew, and suddenly they could craft 2 times faster, for lets say 8 hours? That sounds much better to me then mandatory feeding. After all, I thought the whole point was that our villagers know how to take care of themselves.

Either way, if you make the feeding mandatory you'll lose casual players because your pandering to a more hardcore type of player who logs in every day no matter what. And if you make it into bonus's you should make these foods very difficult to craft. That being said, why not just introduce new potions for alchemists to make to do the job instead of creating a whole new career?

    • COOKING CAREER! YES!!!

    • I agree that a cooking career would be great, but making it necessary to feed your villagers is not a good idea, and may make it feel like a chore, and would probably turn off a lot of infrequent users. If it were just a stat booster players would probably be more eager to use it.

    • I think a cooking career would be awesome! But how would it benefit our villagers? Also, Instead of being called Beta Bees can we be called Beta Beasts? :D

    • I think having a cooking career is a amazing idea! What I wouldn't like, is having to feed our villagers. Maybe feeding our villagers adds some extra bonus points.
For example. if we fed our villager, they would get 5 more explorations.

    • feed villagers for them to work > 10 limit. This would be a lot better!!

    • I feel like needing to feed your villagers in order for them to have energy to work would be way better than the 10-worker limit tbh

having a cook would be super important then to feed all your villagers so they can do their jobs - maybe they can have a 100% hunger bar that drops a little each day so you have to feed them at least every couple days or such to keep them going, and once it reaches 0%, or them being really hungry, you have to feed them or else they can't work (sort of like with broken limb, except they're so hungry they can't work)

I feel like this would add a lot more depth and fun to the game, not feeding my villagers feels really unrealistic and kinda bland, needing to care for them to some degree would make it feel a bit more fun!
