New Species and Rules Revamp

Good evening villagers, we are happy to announce that Olde Foxbury now has its own rare species, the Saggitari! This taurian species fits in perfectly with the atmosphere of Olde Foxbury, and comes in three initial colors: Giraffe, Quagga, and Okapi.
Second, our staff has gotten together to discuss and completely revamp the Rules pages. We have condensed the three rules pages (Code of Conduct, Forum, and Chat) into one single rules page, which is linked from the Terms of Service. As the game has been open for three weeks, we have gotten an idea of what rules are necessary to keep it functioning smoothly, and have made adjustments accordingly.
Following our rules update, we will be closing our forums for approximately twenty-four hours for clean-up (but we will likely re-open them sooner). One issue we have been tackling is the sheer amount of spam that has hit our forums, and as soon as the clean-up of spam is complete we will re-open the forums for everyone to enjoy. The chatrooms will remain open if you would like to contact other players, and our moderators will be diligently watching the channels.

But then, can't the same be said about religion, politics, etc. threads? People make threads to discuss religion and politics in a respectful manner and find others with common views, as well. But that doesn't stop people from coming in and causing a shitstorm, and the same thing happens with otherkin, gender/sexuality/mental illness, etc. threads.
So if we're banning religion, politics, etc. threads because they're topics that often result in flame wars, then there shouldn't be any exceptions made here, either.
I can't seem to access chat at all, and the site is pretty laggy to me, in general.
The chat problem isn't new, though. I discovered it sometime yesterday, but I thought it was just my internet, since I had some internet trouble at the time. It's still not working for me, though.

I contacted mods via the contact page almost a week ago about a mistake in my paintie upload and got no response at all >< Yet lots of painties are getting approved and such. Does the contact page actually work or do I need to contact someone on-site? Because I have no idea which mods do what.

See the problem with that is it's punishing the victim, not the crime. It should be perfectly acceptable to talk about gender, mental illness, and sexuality in a respectful and open manner. This site has already shown that it is welcoming to people in this way. Banning threads that contain these topics or are about them is extremely counter productive and would have a negative impact on it's users who are supposed to feel safe in this environment. There will always be trolls, but that's why you punish them, not the user-base, for their bad behavior rather than have this weird dont-ask-dont-tell rule so the trolls can be happy they got people to stop talking about it.
When do these new bases get posted up so we can make a paintie from them?
I'm sorry, but like..."One bump a day per thread max"? This doesn't sound very productive when it comes to sales and such, forums can get pretty fast, and unless you bump a few times, your thread will be swept away to last place and you will have little to none visibility. Also, I feel like the chat rules such as "not too much caps lock", "be careful with emojis", etc, are going to enable some mods to abuse this to close threads - I've seen it happening on many other petsites, and Furvilla is not going to be an exception, no matter how much you don't want it to be.

@MOD-Deinmaar I was never trying to insinuate that you cannot make general statements, I'm just trying to understand the rule. This is why I think the actual rule itself should be clarified. As it stands, the rule actually does include clarifications that you are saying it doesn't. Although, I suppose since we have had this conversation in a public place, any one who reads it will know what the rule does and does not include.

I was making a general statement, but I guess I really can't make those... If it pertains to something that all users have access to, then it's not against the rules to clarify it to others. If it's something that could be posted and answered in the Help section of the forums, it would be public knowledge in the end anyway. MOD actions/corrections/things that we speak to players about privately regarding their account only is what you're not allowed to discuss with others.
GlitterFreeze I had a similar problem trying to Complete the repair my blacksmith made. Eternal loading hell. And error 522 in a neighbouring tab XD Buuut it seems as though it's gone now.
