Rune appeared one day in the forest of Dragon's Maw. No one knows how long they have been there, or where they came from. Rumor has it that Rune used to be a cat that experimented on herself with a strange potion that turned them into what they are today. Rune lives in an old abandoned shack that they managed to fix up a bit as their home. They mostly stay in their shack, coming up with new potions, studying old tomes, or sleeping. Rune can mostly be found when they're scavenging for new ingredients, or watching the villagers from afar.

Rune is a very quiet creature, not interacting much with anyone. Though when they do encounter others, they put off an intimidating aura without realizing it that scares them away. When someone's brave enough to talk to them, they will learn that Rune is actually very nice and will help them if they can.
