The Weeping Man

Hernando Salazar ("-Or simply Nando, if you like!" he would cheerfully tell you) is an incredibly cheerful and talkative individual with nearly everyone he comes across. Possessing a daring, blunt, and sometimes charming nature, he can either befriend people easily by inserting himself in their business, or drive them away for the same set of reasons.

Nando is a human turned into a vampire, and was a pirate until getting severely injured during a raid.
Despite the seeming nature of vampires and pirates, he's mostly harmless and would rather just compare adventures or talk about the lovely things in life.

A particularly eccentric, but sweet, friend.

Tzofiya
A friend, and one of the crew members of Nando's former ship. She wasn't in the crew prior to Nando's retirement, though.

Salles Engod
Nando's grandchild's boyfriend. Salles seems sweet and anxious, and Nando would like to make him feel comfortable and safe, but it's hard when surrounded by so many powerful beings.

Paz Goodman
A close friend of Nando's grandchild. They're very foreign to Nando and he doesn't understand a lot of things they say, but one of his sweethearts enjoys their company.

Bonhelm Huntwile
The boyfriend of Nando's multiple-greats grandson. Bonhelm is quiet and awkward and Nando thinks he's precious.

Hravulfr
One of the two commanding officers of the crew Nando's multiple-greats grandson is in. Hravulfr's enthusiasm and eagerness to turn anything into a celebration is endearing.

Ithyll
Nando's ex, and the vampire who turned him. Nando originally became a vampire to spend an eternity with Ithyll, but when Nando chose to become a sailor and Ithyll didn't want to, they went their separate ways.
