ROVer is one of many prototypes for a submersible combat drone. They were designed and manufactured by the department of science and engineering at UT Papiliodell, and funded for by the Oceandome Department of Defense. ROVer and their engineers make frequent trips to Scalewing Lake, where ROVer can be optimized and tested for bugs and issues in relative safety.
ROVer was engineered to be either controlled remotely or to act autonomously with the help of an AI, and is able to switch seamlessly between the two. In contrast to the other prototypes that were built, ROVer was designed with the intention for them to interact with and work alongside other people in mind. Hence, their anthropomorphic dog-like shape and social capabilities.
