Furvilla is in the process of implementing a FurCash sales tax for the user shops. When a player sells an item to another player for FurCash, a sales tax of 5% will be removed from the purchase price, and the remainder will be deposited into the shop till as normal. The goal of this addition is to help sink small amounts of FurCash and ensure the strength of the currency. When calculating the tax, it will be 5% of the total, rounded down, with a minimum of 1 FurCash.

This change will be implemented in forty-eight hours or at 2:00 AM Furvilla Time on August 17th, so please be sure to alter your item prices if desired before that deadline.

In addition, the Moth Morphing Potion has been released into Olde Foxbury, and three new species colors are released -- Culpeo Fox, Long Eared Owl, and Osprey Raptor. We have also completed construction of the Trades page, which allows players to trade villagers, items, and currency freely. The link to the Trades page is located on the Town Hall.

    • Taxes on stalls sound...really unusual, lol. Let's see how that goes, I guess. Can't say I'll be putting that much thought into the prices though. I'll likely just use more the sellback feature, I can't be bothered to calculate profits and such, it takes away the fun for me.

    • I don't mind the tax thing. Most sites I'm on that have marketplaces or the like have them.
      Btw, is there any way to see what the new colours look like without having to make a new villager? ;v;

    • Oooh, new colors and potion (making it right now, in fact xD)! =D Not so keen on the taxes, but I guess if it's needed right now, can't complain too much, I suppose ^^;

    • I seriously agree with @Gyokuro. It really seems like the main economy issue to me right now is all supply and no demand, which would only be fixed when new users appear, or if certain low demand items gained more function.

      But I suppose we'll see what effect the tax has. The joys of beta! :D

    • Ha, taxes? Theres going to end up being some 'underground' trading between players for the lowest prices.

    • Oh no not the sales tax. D:>
      Kidding. Sales tax is nothing. Kinda hoping this means that the FD:FC ratio will drop.

    • I personally think that this is a horrible idea. It gives even LESS incentive to sell things and MORE incentive to use the automatic sellback feature. Why is there a tax on virtual currency? It's just disappearing into thin air.

      Not trying to be rude, just stating my opinion.

    • the tax thing would be nice.... if things wouldn't drop so much in worth as is.
      i mean, i'm not gonna complain, it's an okay concept. but we'll see if it is gonna do us any good.....

    • Oh heck. I don't play games to math. I play games to get away from real world stuff. I can't see how this will help at all.

    • Welp, time to just hit the sell button instead of putting it in the shop
