Furvilla is in the process of implementing a FurCash sales tax for the user shops. When a player sells an item to another player for FurCash, a sales tax of 5% will be removed from the purchase price, and the remainder will be deposited into the shop till as normal. The goal of this addition is to help sink small amounts of FurCash and ensure the strength of the currency. When calculating the tax, it will be 5% of the total, rounded down, with a minimum of 1 FurCash.

This change will be implemented in forty-eight hours or at 2:00 AM Furvilla Time on August 17th, so please be sure to alter your item prices if desired before that deadline.

In addition, the Moth Morphing Potion has been released into Olde Foxbury, and three new species colors are released -- Culpeo Fox, Long Eared Owl, and Osprey Raptor. We have also completed construction of the Trades page, which allows players to trade villagers, items, and currency freely. The link to the Trades page is located on the Town Hall.

    • 5% is WAY too high, if you're selling a costume for 175k then you're losing close to 10k????? even flight rising's taxes cap at 3% :/

    • I don't see how this is supposed to help fix artisan items being sold for less than their ingredients' vendor values (less than half, in some cases). We need inflation, not deflation.

    • NOOOOOOOOOOOO

    • Mythic Agreed completely. If you haven't already you should really submit all your ideas through FV's contact form. I'd love to see a quest feature!

    • Oh, for the love of..
We're already having a bad time earning in general with how litte people there are to buy our goods.
I still think it's stupid that Flight Rising does it, and it's sad that Furvilla is following in their footsteps - at least wait until there are more players before you cut us down on our earnings. :/

    • Whelp, pulling all my items from the stalls, and not using them. Let akine having NO FC to begin with, I've had to constantly lower my prices to even make my FC BACK after I've made an item! My interest here just started to dwindle, but I may keep checking back in now and then, working to get more FC for then the economy finally is fixed.

    • This is stupid.

Currently, many people have trouble making money due to people undervaluing and undercutting their items, something that an update like this will NOT change. Instead, it will make it so the 50 FC or whatever garbage price they sell for, becomes 47 FC. This just encourages selling back to the game because hey, then you can actually make your whole profit.

    • But why though? Where's the tax even going? Really. If it was, for example, "To keep the government running!!" or "For healthcare for everyone!" that'd make sense but this currency doesn't have value. What do you mean, "to ensure the strength of the currency" The currency holds no value!
It holds no value. At all. It holds as much value as coins in Neopets. All you're doing now is ensuring the price of everything rises by 5%. Which would make life much harder for people who are already struggling to buy items.
Either make the tax go to something (like a jackpot or... anything...) or remove it. There's no need.

    • JUST FUCK MY ECONOMY UP
