It's a bit sad to say, but we've had an influx of multi-accounters lately; people have intentionally been exploiting the mass award system to gain multiple copies of various items. This sort of behaviour is extremely unfair on those who play legitimately.
Previously we updated the rules to state that multi-accounters will have all their currency wiped. People have claimed this is unfair - and while I agree to some extent that losing all your progress is unfair, cheating & exploiting the economy is a serious offense, and there's no simple way to go through and decide what items are legitimate due to the extensive amount of trading players do.
To that end, I'd like to remind people to stop multi-accounting. If you are multi-accounting currently, please send a report - you won't receive an infraction, and we'll manually track down and remove items where appropriate. This amnesty period only applies through to Jan 1.
To reinforce the message:
If you do not come forward with a report, when you are caught multi-accounting all items and currency will be removed from your account. You will not be able to appeal this.
Real winner don't cheating.
Honesyly a better way would be to just permaban all the peoples accounts when they come up and be done with it.
How dare they! Ngl, but I think they deserve to get all their stuff removed for creating multiple accounts. Maybe this can become a thing for multi-accounters on DA... Anyway, have a good day, FV team! And keep up the good work! :)
I had another account briefly before reading it was against the rules. I turned myself in and yall took care of it nicely. I think this is fair. Everyone is warned. Everyone should play fair. :3
Happy to see FV working to make sure this is a fair game, it’s a fair punishment and I’m glad that it hasn’t just been overlooked!
To be honest, wiping the account of items and currency isn’t unfair at all. If they’re breaking the rules and cheating, that’s grounds for loosing all accounts and being kicked from the site.
Just like others though I worried because my brother and I live together. But I log in almost everyday and multiple times a day where as he barely logs on lol but I’ve sent him a bunch of stuff. Usually stuff I find on the giving tree. I wish he’d play more actually-3-
In a game where one of the MAIN points is that you have to trade with players from other villages... multi-accounting really takes away from that gaming aspect and is a threat to a core-value within the game. Buckling down on cheaters in these early stages is going to help the game in the long run, as negating one of the core functions/intentions of gameplay WILL ruin a game, but you guys are handling it and doing so appropriately. If people don't like the rules you put down for YOUR game, then they should leave or adjust their attitude.
My best friend usually gives me things from her account since she does not have time to play it well, is that bad?
You are being too kind with the cheaters IMO

My husband has an account as well, which he uses once in a blue moon, and has given me things from his account in the past since he's not a dedicated player or item collector. Is that an issue, or is that pretty much viewed the same as your friend gifting you things?
