Hi everyone!
We have a new type of item debuting in the FurDollar Emporium today, the Capsule of Captivating Mystery!
Mysterious!
Capsules are 150 FurDollars each and contain various prizes, some of which can award even more prizes!
PLEASE NOTE. The above item, Space Chase, is a map item that can only be used by an explorer. Once your explorer villager "reads" the comic, it will be consumed from your inventory. However, once you get to the end of the story, you will have the option to keep the comic or choose another item instead.

The Lion Warriors have returned!

"Greetings, friend of Clawtooth.
Sage Ismene tells me that you have been very kind to her. She enjoys your visits. Also, do not fear the master of camel. He is loyal and resourceful, though he may be scattered of mind.
Sadly, the rest of my council is still lost. But I am pleased to tell you our scouts have returned to me from the west. They are Clawtooth’s bravest Lion Warriors, and they have traveled your lands by paw.
They tell me of Chief Annie and her giant serpent pet. They tell me of the grinning cat chief of the dragon’s maw clan. They have seen the frost peaks of the tiger’s eye. Chief Minstrel even tells me of an underwater village.
I hope to visit these clans some day. But I must continue to gather my own. News from Clawtooth is dark. Even my mate cannot see through the cloud.
Fortunately our scouts have found many of our brethren in the west, and they have returned many of our supplies. As warriors blessed with the spirit of lions, they thirst for battle. They would benefit from friendly combat.
Perhaps if you satisfy them, they will give you gifts from Clawtooth. When the master of quill returns, I will have them teach you the dress of our warriors. Some day, if you prove worthy of a lion spirit, you may even be chosen to become a Lion Warrior.
For now I bid you farewell. Thank you for your friendship. You are welcome to visit me and my mate as you wish. We both find your presence amusing."

Looks like there’s some funny-dressed Clawtoothians wanting to spar with some of y’all in the battlegrounds! There’s two levels.
There’s a lower level if you want them to take it easy on you. You can get all sorts of Clawtoothy items, like these!
But if you also want a chance for lion equipment, you gotta let them unleash their inner lions on you!
The chief says that the lion guys will be around so long as they don’t have anything else to do. Also, sounds like if you want it bad enough, you can even become a lion worshiper yourself some day! I dunno who this master of quills is, but might not be a bad idea to collect some of these liony things!
Not me though. I’m not much a fighter myself, so you won’t see me there. Plus, I like being a squirrel!

The The Great Serpent is a bit peculiar though, you see. It enjoys collecting small animals. weaponry/armor, and pieces of furniture (though it is widely unknown what it does with these items). If you bring it an offering of these items, it will reward you in turn.
Those of you that have been educated on the ways of Quetzal Palace know that all of our Cloud Minipet species were created by the serpent, and it appears that it has created more life from the clouds for the new festival:
As you may note, these creatures have a breeding cool-down of one day. This means that you may attempt to breed them, if you are skilled in animal husbandry, or you can continue to offer the serpent creatures in exchange for its creations. You may find that the serpent is more rewarding, if you are seeking out a rarer animal and if you happen to include 5,000 FC with your animal offering, the serpent will grant you the species you prefer. When the serpent leaves on March 4th, these creatures will become infertile, and will not be able to breed.
The serpent is giving away some new equipment for your Warriors. Perhaps one day the serpent will share its techniques for durable construction with our blacksmiths... hm...
This is the Serpent's Feather, and you can obtain it by trading in weapons/armor and furniture to the serpent. This is the currency of the Gala Ball. If you wish to purchase anything from the Gala, then you should collect these. You can also find them when you turn in Minipets to the Serpent (a 25% chance).
And don’t forget about the Gala, it opens on February 25th. I expect you will be getting yourself ready for that... place yourself in a nice Masquerade Mask, and you will look your best. Do be sure to bring plenty of feathers, as there will be many objects available at the Gala for your perusal and purchase: stickers, rare and super rare creatures... perhaps other things, as we hosts see fit.

Go ahead and grab a mask from below (take one of each if you like), when the Gala opens its doors, your active Villager will need to be wearing one of the masks to be granted entry.
