it is incredibly shy, and spends most of its time away from the village. it instead prefers to explore the dark caves and forests deep in the mountains.

it isn't unfriendly or unkind, however. as much as it hates confrontation, it considers itself a guardian and will do its best to protect its village and what few friends it has. other times, it brings home treasures and things from its adventures, and leaves them as little gifts for people it thinks will appreciate them. (like a small plate of berries left on a table, or a plucked flower left on your windowsill.)

it doesn't so much talk as it hums to voice its emotions. it sounds like a low, hollow whistle.
