Maiyunbby Believe it or not I'm actually not as mad about the money side of things as I am the commission side of things and how much time got put into painties only for them to be turned down... After being put on site to begin with.

Sure, I'm being refunded, but people who straight up commission me don't get refunded if I no longer have the money or items on hand and that's really unacceptable. I really don't think I'll stick around if I don't feel comfortable with putting up painties due to sudden nonexistent rules, since that was my entire reason for being on this site.

Peri well like everyone else i dont get why it was taken down cause i mean its 90% fox lol. but w/e rly. i mean, what can ya do? -shrugs- but at least you can, in a sense, get your money back. it'd suck if you couldnt :/

Charien The tail and horns were spliced in, but heavily edited to fit the fox base. Splicing is encouraged as far as I see in the rules:
"HOW MUCH CAN I EDIT THE BASE?

There is no limit to the amount of edits you can make, however, the Paintie must still be recognizable by its species and its base. This means that a wolf cannot be changed into dragon, however, you could add dragon wings onto a wolf avatar."

So as far as I know they're enforcing nonexistent rules here.

Maiyunbby Nope, no actual refund. Apparently I can email support with new painties and they'll implement them for free but it really rubs me the wrong way.

So was the tail just copy pasted or not? I thought it has to be personal original art to submit for those painties? Like self drawn and not just copy paste it from somebody else artwork? I am really confused with those painties. The money gets returned right if a paintie fails? Otherwise they could make thousands of dollars with turning painties down lol.

I honestly really hope it's not an actual rule and instead just a mod in training abusing their ability to remove pretty painties for any reason they can think of......

I just heard what happened to this paintie and I must say that's incredibly disheartening. Removing it because of a rule they never even stated? That's...yikes...
I've also heard they've been taking down painties that are loosely based off copyrighted characters that were approved before. I hope this all gets resolved soon, and I'm sorry this happened to you. Your paintie was gorgeous.

I saw this paintie before it got took down and it just used the horns and tail. The tail from the DAD was even edited so it was up right and not by the feet. The horns look pretty common for horns and there are other species that use horns like that so it's not specific to the DAD. Staff are going to have a hard time if they keep doing this and sniffing out painties that use parts from other bases.

I understand keeping the paintie base relative to it's species but this was obviously the fox base with just horns and a different tail added but letting others use parts from different bases should be okay as long as they're not completely changing the species. This was meant to be a more creative way (compared to FR's strict skin rules) for creating your characters or personas but if they're actually gonna implement this rule they might loose a lot of people, especially if they're going to become more strict.

Also agreeing with comments below, you can create potions for the DAD so it should be okay to use some parts of the species, it's not 'rare' unlike Gembound. Also yeah, if you didn't get your FD back then wtf staff.
