Two parts of the same whole, Cecilia is a natural ectomancer, born mortally blind but with always was able to sort of see through her other 'sight' in a way and Elisedd is an ancient forest spirit who lost his forest and therefore his name and identity until an odd little child he thought couldn't see him gave him a new name.
Rather then leave Elisedd stayed to watch over and teach this little odd pup on some instinct and over time whatever balance and link they'd developed deepened until they were more one creature with two bodies and distinct personalities, that don't always agree, to boot.
