Looks like the Spectral Armour gives me more survivability then then the kitsune spirit robes. Guess the extra 15% damage reduction doesn't equal more then 300 mitigation.
Using a Aeron's Fiery Kitsune: and Qurious Blade build? It seems to work well. Really wished my armored unicorn would trigger more XD Might be able to win if I survived a round or two longer.
