Villager: Chafinch

You walk through the bright forest, it’s pleasantly chilly and crisp. The tall curved trunks of the ancient trees provide shelter from the low hanging fog. As suddenly as it came, the light dimmer out, till you can hardly see your hands/paws/whatever you have. You stumble in the dark, nearly crashing into a tree. The scruff of paws behind you. A quiet growl breaks the silence. You back up against a tree, straining to see what’s making the noise. A dark shape, hardly visible with the low light and fog. A tiny shape, hardly noticeable with the size of the creature next to it. The thing stands, it’s suddenly tall. Two bright yellow eyes cut through the mist.

“ You don’t belong here” and loud, clear but yet harsh voice sounds from the thing. “Better scramble back to your village, I’m not the only thing lurking these woods.” You run, tripping over things in the dark till you reach the end of the woods. At last daylight appears and you stumble out.

Back safely in the village, you wonder who could that be? Walking to Sunsteams house, since she has fought many things and must know what that.. thing was. She let out a hearty laugh. “ It seems you have fell apon the rouge. She’s a fierce creature, that some might call a mere “cat”. But anyone that has ever in counted her -that still live- know that she much more than that. Much more in fact.”
