Winifred is infected with Lycanthropy. Changes into a beastly monster after exposure to moonlight or especially frustrating board games. Howling at the moon relieves the symptoms for a little while, but use a Golden Apple for best results.

Winifred looks stunning!

Winifred's very special treasures!

About

"I believed myself totally unfitted for the company of strangers.."

This is Winifred.

He isn't the prettiest face around this part of Olde Foxbury but he has a good heart, or so he claims. Out of all of his neighbors Winifred might be one of the most "normal." His job just involves raising animals, simple enough.

He's wary of the unusual "Villagers" in his part of the region and has become aware of a sinister presence in the form of a Midnight Shifty who calls itself "Quill." And his little dog big Flailadon henchman, too.

Winifred is planning of a way to intercept on whatever "Quill" is doing, as he believes the Shifty is trying to pull some weird alien assimilation scheme. Which he probably isn't wrong about.

Winifred is the opposite of Quill...

...in the way that, rather than take in Wanderers and transform them into potential monsters (in Winifred's words), Winifred seeks to take in monsters and transform them into potential Villagers.

He supposedly originated from Dragonsmaw Manor, and rumor has it that his stitches are not from some "Frankenstein's Monster" experiment, but from his many attempts at civilizing the monsters of the village, and that he has been brought to near-death several times because of his habits. This skunk will not be deterred.

Plagiarism for the "greater good."

When Winifred got the chance, he posed as a "visitor" and/or potential "customer" to Quill's questionable business. He took to wearing a heavy cloak to disguise himself from his "guide," who was a bit too dim-witted to really see through the disguise at all.

By some ridiculous miracle Quill was on a lunchbreak during this time and ventured off to get some Baked Furlaska. It turns out: the security of the structure happened to be very ticklish, as Winifred indirectly tickled the beast with his tail and sent him into a giggling-fit. This was just enough time for the skunk to steal a half-empty Shifty Morphing Potion before resuming the "tour."

Said tour was interrupted by an unruly inhabitant of the building, who took to spitting a cherry tomato at the security. Somehow this set off the guard and the two began to square each other up... despite the kangaroo being behind a barred wooden door.

Not wanting to get caught up in a potential fight as well as having what he's came for, Winifred hightailed it out of there, carelessly flinging the cloak off as he tore off to his dwellings with a rather vital item in his paws.

To tame a beast...

...Winifred needed a potion. A Shifty Potion. He's learned how Quill manipulates the potion to affect Villagers in such a way it doesn't completely transform them into a Shifty.

The way Winifred intends to use the Shifty potion is to grant sapience to the monsters of the lands, and in turn hopefully teaching them how to be "model citizens" and benefit his fellow furries with their power rather than attacking them. Of course, a side effect to using a morphing potion is that it may partially transform how they appear, but overall provide a boost to their intelligence.

What Winifred never considered is that, once a monster has its sentience, that means it can think for itself and decide for itself. Not all of the monsters he tries to tame will agree with his ideals.

Trying to play "ringmaster," aren't we?
