Zombie Rabbit Villager Concerns

Good evening everyone! It seems there is a bit of upset regarding one of our Dragonsmaw Manor Event villager colorations due to the gore factor. Unfortunately we are restricted by coding and will not be able to tag the colorations for those users that are not comfortable with this type of content.

But what I can do is offer an option to any user that wishes to own this coloration and also wants to be sure other users are still comfortable viewing their profiles and villagers!

We will create a thread, once the Magic Zombie Rabbit Plush is officially released, for users to request that their villager be "paintied". Users will provide a villager link to their Zombie Rabbits and I will go through, putting "Painties" onto the villager (the exact same image) so that the Gore tag can be added.

I hope that this will be helpful to all parties. Thank you for expressing your concerns and being patient with us.

EDIT: I am discussing options with some of my Mod team as we are reading your comments and seeing that the proposed solution may not work as we'd like it to. Once we have a solid hold on a final plan we will let you all know! Thanks again for being patient and working with us!

    • Wolfle Unfortunately, while that would work for those under 18, there are a great many over 18 users who also wouldn't want to see it, so putting an age limited feature wouldn't really help with the underlying issue.

    • Perhaps you can make a toned down version and still make the original available to those over 18? Since those under 18 aren't really able to view gore painties anyways. (unless you guys changed it)

    • Hope you can come up with a fair tagging method and not censor the art!

    • It could be that when you use the plush, it changes the actual picture to a placeholder (like the normal brown bunny), so that the gory picture has to be added via paintie, thus the gore tag can be applied.
That way, it'll default to the placeholder and it won't need any extra coding for a placeholder.
Otherwise, the whole "user request" thing seems far too optional, and there are so many people who feel like "if it doesn't bother me, it shouldn't bother you."

That said, I'm really glad you guys are trying to come up with a solution for this!

    • Zombie Rabbit? What zombie rabbit? Did I miss something?

    • It is really sweet of you guys to try and fix this. It's probably frustrating that you guys have to do even more work now. Hang in there ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

    • *only a default rabbit base is seen, I meant

    • Great idea! How about the plush apply the tagged paintie immediately rather than changing the base? That way when a block goes through, only the base is seen. Also, er, won't this paintie method make it so the first few pages of the paintie gallery are all zombie rabbits?... Glad you guys are thinking about our comfort, though! I really appreciate it! I didn't even know there was an option to block gore.

    • Will the event be put on hold even longer now? Gah.

    • I love gore and all things horror, and I really want this coloration, BUT. The safest route for you guys would be to definitely edit/tone it down a lot more (down to maybe frankenstein-sewed together, maybe voodoo doll type?) so it wouldn't be NSFW, it just doesn't seem like a good idea.
