Costume Changes & Paintie Rule Revamp

Hey there my busy little beta bees! I've come around again with a couple little news announcements for you so please bear with me.
Costume Changes
First up we have some exciting news about Costumes, they will no longer be restricted to the original 6 species! Costumes can now be applied to any of the common species on site so everyone can enjoy the Career Buffs that come along with applying a costume to your Villager. While most species do not have images available now, they may at some point in the future. So if an image becomes available for the species/costume combo on your Villager you will be allowed to convert to that image if you like. You will just need to contact [email protected] with the request.
Paintie Rule Revamp
Second bit of news is that we have made a few tweaks to the Paintie rules to prepare for the site to open and to reflect the change I was just talking about above. Please be sure to do a thorough read through and get familiar with the changes we've made! I know that it's a lot to look through but we appreciate you all taking the time to work with us on this so we can help you keep creating and collecting all those amazing Painties.
Highlights
-Costumed Villagers can now use any (non-limited) base that is available for the species.
-Costume base pieces may be used on any species as long as the Villager has that costume applied.
-Human traits on Painties are now judged with a numeric threshold.
-Prohibited content has been edited to reflect language standards currently being used for the forums and a Profanity tag has been added for those that wish to block these types of Painties.
-The use of downloaded brushes is allowed but proof must be provided that they can be used for commercial purposes.

I can't see how we're reading too far into things since - again - you just said that as a site there are absolutely no plans in EVER adding costume options for rare species. I can understand not having art for anything yet (because art takes time to produce, and rare species might not be at the top of the list for art) but the concept of just never wanting to add costumes for the rare species is honestly really, really, really unsettling to me for the site as a whole. Like Hawkfeather said, never adding costumes to rare species that are already extremely restricted is going to see a huge plummet in those species. No buffs, no potential new poses (when as a species they are the most regulated.)
I can understand no rare species for this update (this one, right now, that I am posting on.) But asking me to wrap my brain around the concept of just outright refusing to ever add costumes to rare species is something I simply cannot do, and your attempts to clarify have only confused me more.
Malis The rule above that one talks about the use of costume pieces. The rule you are referring to means a completely unedited base.
Current rule: "Unedited Costume Bases can only be applied to Villagers of the same species.
Example: You cannot apply an unedited Warrior Rabbit base to a Raptor with the Warrior Costume applied."
Will this be changed? If we apply the costume to a raptor for the bonus, can we use the warrior costume pieces to embellish a raptor base?
I'm glad I read this because I was about to submit a couple of new Painties ;w;

I am sooo happy for this change! I have been wanting the paintie rules edited this way for a while, and it works perfectly with allowing costumes on all species. Of course, most of my villagers have painties so I will have to wait to costume them >u< hehe

As Admin-Deinmaar said, please just take the statement at face value, you're reading too far into things. We have no plan at this time to make costumes equip-able for rares. This is not to say that might not change in the future, this is a constantly growing and changing site. And please always feel free to send in suggestions for things you'd like to see happening on Furvilla.
RedlaSunShowers029 There aren't any new images to show in the costume museum. Putting a costume on a non-standard species will grant the associated bonuses, but will not change their appearance. If/when they add new costumed images in the future, you will have the option of switching your villager to that.

Really excited to see the costumes have branched out into other species' use. However, will those be added to the costume museum soon? I'd love to see how them look before adding some onto my other villagers.
