The spell book is actually a shield so it won't be as good as a sword of discourse since you can't put weapon crystals on the shield of rainbows. You will also be limited to only using elemental attacks due to the spell books effect but it does come with a nice 10% damage resistance passive. Also Welcome back, you might want to look into the smithing hammers(upgrades weapon grade) and socket-o-matics(adds sockets to weapons/shields/armors/utilities) those craftable items have come out since you have been gone from the site.

Deadly poison used to do constant darkness damage to your opponent, lower stats, and silence your opponent from using skills/magic effects. Used to be op in pvp since there was no way to get rid of the effect. Now all it does it lower some stats and do darkness damage, most setups right now using some kind of cleansing effect so the deadly poison gets cleared out the next round. Right now the current meta is high grade and socket spectral scythe setup, or flowing hammer with earthen glaive and spell siphon amulet or if you are rich with a level 22 warrior a Qurious Blade setup.

The midnight magic necklace and peaches poison combo doesn't work too well in pvp with the current setups and after deadly poison was nerfed a long time ago. Though it was fun battling you, almost forgot how much battle text final flurry gives though you can still get some weird effects from midnight magic necklaces on the pvm arenas on some high darkness resistance monsters.
