Map Exploit

Maps have temporarily been disabled due to information about an existing exploit becoming public. They'll be enabled again once this issue has been resolved.

Maps are no longer marked as maps, but any maps you craft or had previously will still exist within your inventory. There is currently no estimated time for a fix.

Unfortunately, we have to take a harsh stance when it comes to intentional exploiting of mechanics like this. Thank you to people who reported the issue and simply moved on. People who may have accidentally used the exploit or otherwise simply done it once or twice out of curiosity need not worry, however. We'll be investigating on case-by-case basis. If you suspect another player of cheating, please report them using the standard report feature.

Update: You can no longer add plunder to your hoard from your inventory. You can still use the convert-all function.

    • Huh, from reading the comments I've gathered that the exploit was to somehow use the maps multiple times and extra exploring turns. I do remember getting another round of exploring turns once, but I just thought I hadn't explored with that villager yet. Perhaps it was a glitch. I don't know if I used maps multiple times, as I wasn't really looking for this. I can think of one time I thought I may of done it, but chalked it up to having crafted two instead of one and simply not noticing. So these things didn't happen often enough for me to think it was a bug or exploit, I just thought it was human error on my side. Well, in any case, I'm glad I bought some of the materials I needed the last couple days to reach the final stage of the ship. However, the convert all button doesn't work for the mermaid statues that you get. I always had to convert those through the inventory. I would sometimes do that for the gems as well, as I heard about a glitch with the convert all button and wanted all my Plunder Points. I hope this issue is resolved easily and the event continues on without anymore rough seas. Thanks for the heads up!

    • yo what there was an exploit?

well, i hope it gets fixed soon; maps are the only way i can get those supplies to upgrade my ship as far as im aware. :'v

    • i've usually only had two tabs of furvilla open, and one of those two was the guide for getting materials and plunder items (and sometimes the occasional stop at the quest shop so i can try to get some gembound plushies), so i never even knew about this exploit. i hope this is fixed soon, i really want to get the three new leodon plushies before time runs out, maybe a few leodon potions if this is fixed in time!

    • I was unaware of an exploit. Sadly, there'll always be those who want to take advantage any way they can.

Still, glad the event was extended. Being gone 3 or so days of the week (and only able to log in for dailies) can make doing event stuff difficult.

    • I had no idea there was an exploit. X-x

I think ship parts should drop temporarily in explore in the meantime as the maps are the only way to get them and many of us are still trying to upgrade our ships.

    • To people freaking out about extension: wist Saud in the comments already that the event will be extended.

    • I hope the event will be extended in light of this. While it doesn't effect me, it's unfair to the players who are still buildings boats so that they can collect a better level treasure every two hours. The maps are the only in-game method to obtain boat materials other than buying them from other players (who now have no way of getting them to sell).

    • I did not even know of this at all. I'm struggling enough to grab material for the ships xD

    • exploit? whaaat

    • there was an exploit? o_o dang.
well.... as long as we can keep collecting map pieces for future use guess I cant complain. I hope ya'll able to fix it soon! aside from the bugs this has been a really fun event tbh
