In an effort to breathe new life in to the Alchemist Career, we’ve decided on making some small tweaks to the Species Morphing Potions and the Villager creation process in the near future. While we do not have an exact date for the roll out of this change yet, we are making this announcement so that you can be prepared for what is coming.

The upcoming changes will be as follows:

-Creating a new Villager will be limited to the first three colors released per species.

--The remaining colors and any future additions will be available via the Species Morphing Potions.
--The randomized nature of the Species Morphing Potions will be removed, allowing you to choose the color you'd like to apply to your Villager. As such, the feature allowing you to refine the Morphing Potion at the Alchemist will be removed as it is no longer necessary.

In the future we are also looking forward to the release of Limited Edition Colors for Villagers that will be obtainable via other means, such as upcoming events. These Limited Colors will not be available through the regular Species Morphing Potions. There will be more details to come on this portion of the update as they are made available.

Our hope is that these changes will add a valuable new facet to the Species Morphing Potions and the Alchemist Career!

    • "In the future we are also looking forward to the release of Limited Edition Colors for Villagers"

The Rare Item hunter in me is jumping for joy but also screaming.
This is gonna be interesting. I really wanna see these colors! -is excited!!-

    • @Admin-Deinmaar i think that would work, as long as the note made it clear that the morphing potions are user-made items; then there wouldn't be the assumption that morphing potions must be something that costs premium currency. at least, that's the first thought i have when a game presents unselectable options, and it usually ends up being true. so i believe that clarifying that it isn't the case would make more people interested in them, and the game itself. (i hope that makes sense, i'm having trouble organizing my thoughts in a concise manner today.)

    • I really like this update and I'm looking forward to it. Keep up the great work guys! :3

    • @Admin-Deinmaar Thanks, that makes it a bit more acceptable in my eyes.

Thank you for looking into it for us! One place I really feel this game could use some improvement is in how costumes/species are applied. It would be nice if you could use a wardrobe feature to collect/save as many as you wanted on a villager along with custom painties.

You would use the potion, then choose the color, I believe =)

    • I'm really excited for this! It baffled me when I saw Wickerbeast morphing potions become cheaper than other potions that take a third of the materials! I hope this fixes the issue, or at least helps in some way....
Does this mean each potion is a different colour of said species, or you use the potion then choose the colour?

    • Meh. I'll get used to it. I guess. I tend to not like change overall.

I can't imagine taking away something you guys would have worked towards during an event. I'll be sure to ask about this, though.

I agree. Unfortunately, new art can be fairly expensive. I'm hoping to see more after Beta is over, though. Costumes for the other species would be awesome.
