Serpent Festival Gala!!!

It’s GALA TIME!!! I expect you will be getting yourself ready for that... place yourself in a nice Masquerade Mask, and you will look your best. Do be sure to bring plenty of feathers, as there will be many objects available at the Gala for your perusal and purchase: stickers, rare and super rare creatures... perhaps other things, as we hosts see fit.

Aspen’s Corner!
With the influx of new cloud pets in Furvilla, Warren asked us to remind you that there is plenty of room in his forest for them all!
He's also added a new supply sack to his Cottage Shoppe, which you may trade for using uncommon Maple Leaves.
Make sure there is lots of room
in your inventory before opening!
If you find yourself in need of crafting supplies to make gifts for the Serpent, please do pick up a few of these supply sacks to give yourself a boost! Inside you will find things like White Fabric, Earthen Slabs, Bashful Blossoms, rare plants and more.
This bag will no longer be available at the end of the festival.
Oh! Don't forget that you can also trade up common Hawthorn Leaves for uncommon Maple Leaves, so send those cloud pets on over to Warren's Forest.

It is time for the Serpent Festival!

Hello everyone! I am excited to announce the beginning of our 2020 Quetzal Palace Serpent Festival!
The Serpent has landed on the mainland and is ready for your offerings. This ancient beast is one of the last remaining from the old times, before written history, before the villages came together in a global economy and named themselves, collectively, Furvilla. The Serpent is where the villagers of Quetzal Palace have made their town, and its constant movement allows them travel across the entire Furvillian continent!
As a special surprise, we've decided to run this year's festival for three weeks, instead of our usual two.
The Gala Ball, where you may trade your serpent feathers for fabulous prizes, will open on March 30th and close on April 20th at 11:59pm.
Now, let's get on with the festivities!
Offerings to the Serpent
As in previous years, the Serpent demands tribute, and will provide feathers in exchange for the items it seeks. These feathers will be used as currency during the Gala Ball's prize shop when it opens next week. This year, the Serpent has several specific demands, which you may clearly see on its donation page.
To obtain items the Serpent seeks, you will be calling upon the assistance of the majority of your villagers, as most careers have something to contribute.
Special new recipes!
The below redeemable code will provide you with five new recipes.
Crafters, Alchemists, Tailors, Blacksmiths, and Cooks will craft the above recipes. Each time a recipe is crafted, a basic item is guaranteed to drop. Occasionally, a rarer (and more powerful) version of this item will drop as a bonus in addition to the base item. The Serpent will award more feathers for rarer items.
Don't be shy about donating these items to the Serpent during the festival! Your villagers may continue to craft the above items forever, but be advised the Serpent is picky and will not accept these items next year.
Want more recipes?
Should you find yourself in need of more recipes for the above items, your Explorers can help! While exploring, your villager will encounter a special explore event. In this event, you may meet some surprising versions of Quetzal Palace's rarest creatures. You may pick up an extra recipe or a special magical stone!
Need more materials for crafting?
Your Warriors may wish to help your cause by heading off to the Serpent Battlegrounds to spar with various elemental minions and the Serpent itself! This battleground will challenge your fiercest Warriors as well as provide you with extra crafting items needed to appease the Serpent.
The fluffiest of animals!
Villagers who know the Animal Husbandry career may contribute as well!
Below you will find a link for complimentary special cloud pets, which are able to breed quite often throughout the festival. The Serpent seems to be quite fond of rare and super rare versions of these cloud pets, so start breeding! These pets have a cooldown of 1 day.
As an added bonus, for the duration of the festival, your daily breeding turns have been increased to 100!
Should you wish for more common pets to jump-start your breeding endeavors, you may trade leaves with Warren for common-color rarities in the Cottage Shoppe.
All rarities of these cloud pets will also be available for purchase at the Gala Ball.
RECAP!
- This year's festival will last for 3 weeks. It starts now and will end on April 13th at 11:59pm.
- The Serpent displays a list of the items it is seeking on its donation page. Your villagers will work together to craft these items. The Serpent will not accept these items next year.
- Visit the Serpent Battlegrounds to pick up extra crafting materials.
- A special explore event will drop extra recipes and magical stones.
- Animal Husbandry daily breeding turns have increased to 100 for the duration of the festival.
- Special event cloud pets may breed during the festival and have a 1 day cooldown.
- Trade leaves with Warren in the Cottage Shoppe for more basic cloud pets!
- Feathers are used as currency at the Gala Ball, so save them up!
- The Gala Ball and festival shop will open on March 30th and close on April 20th at 11:59pm. We will have another news post with more Ball information when it opens.

Downtime complete - and new trophies!

We are back!
The Quetzal Palace Festival will begin tomorrow, Monday the 23rd, at 3pm Furvilla time.
During the downtime, we've added a little bit of expansion to your Animal Husbandry villager's achievements - trophies!
Speaking of Animal Husbandry, At 12:01am tomorrow morning, breeding turns will be increased to 100. This change will remain until the end of the Quetzal Palace festival.

Scheduled Downtime - Mar 22 - 2pm

Hello everyone!
Furvilla will be entering a scheduled maintenance mode on Sunday, March 22nd at 2pm, Furvilla Time. During this downtime we will be testing new features pertaining to the upcoming Quetzal Palace festival!
Should all testing go as planned, we will be starting the festival sometime on Monday the 23rd.
We expect this downtime to last roughly 2 hours. Please plan accordingly. Thank you!

It's that time of year again! Your Explorers can now participate in the Great Shamrock Hunt from now until March 31st!
Collecting shamrocks is easy! All you need to do is explore and you will find shamrocks everywhere. Collect 77 of them to craft a special 4 Leaf Clover using a Rainbow Magic Recipe, which can be purchased in the Cottage Shop. This recipe can be learned by Crafters. This recipe is permanent stock.
Please note: The contents of the 4 Leaf Clover have not changed from last year, so now is your opportunity to craft those special items!
But wait -- there's more!
Please enjoy this gift from Furvilla, an adorable Clover Kitsune Plushie!
Should you like to collect more kitsune plushies, Warren informs me that he's rounded up quite a few for trade in the Cottage Shop as permanent stock.
Serpent Festival
Shortly, (likely over the coming weekend), we will be entering maintenance mode to run some tests for the Serpent Festival. We anticipate the festivities to start next week. Happy Valentine's Day!
Did you know the Oracle is quite a gifted alchemist? It's true!
While she loves telling fortunes, her ultimate talents involve the delicate art of creating magical items using the ancient secrets of alchemy. This year, she's decided to share a few special recipes with you.
When these recipes are taught to a villager proficient in the Alchemist career, they will be able to create one of three magical Heartfelt Stones, which when used will magically transform your villager into one of the following species colors below.
Explorers will be able to find these special recipes through a limited-time exploration event now through February 24th, 2020. Even though the recipes will stop dropping at that time, once your Alchemist knows these recipes, they can craft Heartfelt Stones forever!
