Weekly News!

Hi all! This is just a news post to point out some of the stuff going on and keep everyone in the loop.
First of all, I've opened up a new discussion thread here regarding valour points and the tournament.
MOD-Thaleia has opened a thread to discuss reworking quests. You can find it here!
There's also a thread discussing the new exploration event which you can find here.
If you're looking to chip in your opinions about the contest overhaul, you'll find a thread for that here.
Next up, we've a new poll for you all: poll. - We're looking to see where players would like us to focus our development attention. Please note that voting for a particular option also includes the current bugs associated with that career - such as the permanent immunity issue, and various warrior-related problems. Once we've the results of this poll, we'll make a thread discussing the specifics.
As for other news:
- We've decided to go ahead with Custom Item Orders due to the results of the poll. The exact pricing details will be available soon.
- @MOD-Skulldiggery is working on a large exploration event to add to the roster. No ETA on this.
They're also pink now, for some reason!
- I have a new battleground planned, which will have highly randomised versions of existing enemies, along with a huge loot table. This will be released in a couple weeks (as I'll need to make new versions of each monster individually).
And for the sake of clarification:
- The previous polls are now closed.
- I've left their respective discussion threads open - please note that a potential sister site would not be funded or developed by Furvilla itself.; it would have been a personal project. At this stage, I've decided to shelf the idea.
- Crystals have been overhauled. They have significantly more stats, and cost half as many resources to make.
- Most users are comfortable with custom content, even if they aren't willing to purchase it, with over 50% of the poll indicating this response.
Finally, I've some important information regarding the Hallowed Potion:
We're working on a fix on upgraded pets losing their breeding charges. In the mean time, if you have a bugged pet, please send a TRADE to @Admin-Mat; please note that pets have their gender randomly assigned when they are created - if you necessary, you may be sent a Breeding Potion as well.
*Please include ALL your affected pets in a single trade*
Additionally, mini-pets that only listed colour in the menagerie are now fixed; if this is not the case in any instances, please issue a bug report.

Daylight Savings Time

Hello everyone, we are aware that Daylight Savings has hit the site at this time and is making some things a bit wonky. Last time this happened things resolved themselves when the hour rolled over so try not to do too many major transactions if you can help it (just in case) and be sure to report any glitches you see that still seem to be occuring after the clock shows 2:00 am Furvilla time!

November is here (and has been for a whole day already, sorry we are late guys) so you know what that means, it’s that time again, new monthly goodies!
We’ve also got some Festival info for you so be sure to check that out as well after you are done taking a peek the adorable new stash of Minipets!
New Minipets
The November FD Pets are here! Let's check out what we have for this month...
First up we’ve got Felilidae! We’re not sure who had the idea to cross a kitten with a hummingbird but we’re sure glad that they did!
Watch out, we hear that the Flutter Bandit’s favorite thing to do is steal...But they sure are cute, maybe even cute enough to steal your heart!
These are called Dunks! And we’re just going to leave it at that and move on...
FD Pets can be obtained from the FurDollar Emporium. They have five day breeding cool downs and are available for breeding until December 1st, when a new batch of FD Monthlies will be released.
Festival Updates
And now we have some news for the end of the DMM Halloween festival. The official end date is now the 14th of November. The Shop will close on the 21st of November.
As for the Pumpkin Contest, here's a quick run down of the reward tiers:
2,500 grams will net you the gold trophy, as well as Chester's Hat.
1,500 grams will net you the silver trophy.
500 grams will net you the bronze trophy.
Due to feedback, you'll only receive one trophy for the highest tier reached. For every 5000 grams thereafter, you'll receive a special Dragonsmaw Pie item. You can now earn up to 20 of these.
On the 14th of November, the Hallowed Potion will have its price raised to 1,000 FD. Be sure to get yours now, if you're after it!
We'll have an update soon when the Pumpkin Treats are working correctly. Keep an eye on the change-log for this!
Finally, we'd like to apologize to everyone for the chaos of the event, and thank everyone for your patience - we've pushed back the closing date to make sure everything goes smoothly. As some form of compensation, we'll have a bonus exploration event available from the 14th through to the 21st.
Regarding Monthly Contests
Unfortunately we won’t be hosting our normal monthly contests this month. We are seeing very low participation numbers and are planning to do some polling and chatting with all of you out there to see what we can do to make contests more appealing.
We are hoping to be able to come back to you all in December with improved contests that you’ll be lots more interested in entering. And we are looking forward to working with you guys to make that happen!
As for the September and October winners, be on the lookout for a big news post later this week with ALL of the winning entries!
*We will also be announcing the results of the Recycle Species vote soon, we haven’t forgotten, just working out a few little details behind the scenes.*

Dragonsmaw Manor Festival Part 2

Hi all, looks like we've gotten things all sorted out and we're ready to bring you part 2 of this spooky event!
Pumpkin Growing
The Pumpkin growing portion of the event is ready to go, your Herbalists (the ones on your account, not everyone's Herbalists site wide) will be working together to grow the biggest pumpkin that they can! On each Herbalist's work page you will see the special slot at the top that holds your most special pumpkin, you simply have to keep using Fertilizer to keep growing your very special, one of a kind Pumpkin child.
*Details on trophies and prizes for the Pumpkin Growing will be announced soon so be on the look out for a News Flash post regarding that in the near future*
New Recipes & Items
There are 2 new recipes now stocking in the Candy Shop, The Hallowed Potion Recipe and the Pumpkin Treats Recipe, check out the details below on the new items that they make!
First up we have the Hallowed Potion, this potion can be used at your Animal Handler's stables to upgrade the rarity of a Mini-Pet. Each potion will upgrade by one step, Common will upgrade to Uncommon or Rare will upgrade to Super Rare. To upgrade a Mini-Pet from Common all the way The up to Super Rare you will need 3 potions total for that Mini-Pet. The crafting price on this recipe is 500 FD, I am told that that price will be going up after the event ends, 500 FD is a special discounted Event exclusive price.
POTION IS CURRENTLY RENDERING SOME PETS STERILE, THIS IS A GLITCH THAT WE ARE WORKING TO RESOLVE.
Secondly we have the Pumpkin Treats, these treats can be fed to an undomesticated Mini-Pet to instantly bring them up to full domestication! So have fun baking these up for your Mini-Pets.
Pumpkin Treats DO NOT work yet but you can begin making them for use when the coding bugs have been worked out.

Pumpkin Growing Contest

Hi all! Just quickly letting you know that we've disabled the pumpkin growing part of the event for now until it can be better balanced and tested.
It may or may not be back in time for the conclusion of the event, but all rewards it would have offered will be available in some capacity.
Generally speaking, I'd like for the following to be true before the event returns:
1) Everyone can have a chance to get a gold trophy.
2) Your inventory won't be flooded with items.
I know things have been a little hectic lately, but I'd like to assure everyone your concerns are not going unheard. We'll have more updates on this situation soon!
Who's Got Candy?! For Real This Time!

Hi all, I’m here with good news, the Candy Shop is finally opening it’s doors! And if the coding gods are kind to us, the rest of the event will be kicking off tomorrow so cross your fingers, make an offering of bananas, whatever works for you, and hope for the best!

Ok! I know everyone is excited but try to stick with me through the news post before you run off to spend those candy points. Hopefully you turned in all that candy and stocked up on points instead of eating it like some people…Things have been a bit crazy around the Furvilla offices lately, candy hyper mods everywhere.
The current stock is not all that we plan to add so please be aware of that and try not to spend all your points before you see all that is available (we will be adding a recipes and a special item or two). But let’s take a look at what we have available for you all right now!
Event Mini-Pets will be breedable until the end of November!
And as promised we have a thread ready for those free default image changes for those of you that want the more gory version of the Undead Rabbit for their villager! Just come visit the thread and make your post once you’ve used your Magic Plush.

Undead Rabbit Update

Good news everyone! The wonderful Kiwiggle has seen your pleas and contacted me with a toned down version of the Zombie Rabbit! We now have the Undead Rabbit, which will be the design applied by the Magic Plush when it is used. The original Zombie base will be able to be used as an alternate version for Painties and we will put up a thread for users to request the default Zombie version be put onto their Undead Rabbit as a "paintie" so it can be marked for gore! Hopefully everyone will be happy with this compromise, toned down version for the site, and optional gory version for the users that fell in love with all of that wonderful creepiness.
And I know you are all waiting on the next parts of the event! We are aiming to have the candy shop open at some point today and then there is still a little fine tuning to do on other things so the rest will be coming soon. You will be getting that promised event extension as well.
